Are you scared for women’s rights under the Trump administration? Looking for a way to take a stand? Join us at the Women’s March on Washington!
In the wake of a crazy election cycle, we find ourselves forced to process the election of a president who poses an imminent threat to women around the world. He has called women bimbos, pigs, dogs, and slobs. He has bragged about sexual assault and asserted that women should be punished for having abortions. For women in the U.S. and around the globe, Trump’s misogynistic agenda threatens our human right to make our own reproductive choices.
Trump and Pence want you to believe that women deserve to be trampled, abused, and controlled. They, and other politicians alike, are determined to regulate women’s bodies and reproductive decisions. On January 21, we will march with the hundreds of thousands of women and allies across the country to tell them that we will not stand for these injustices.
The Women’s March on Washington is a grassroots effort to send a message to the new administration that women’s rights are human rights. The march is about showing the world that there is a strong and diverse coalition of people who will stand together to defend the rights of women everywhere.
Here at Population Connection Action Fund, we have always fought for the security, stability, and health of women in the United States and around the globe, and over the next four years, we will not back down. Whether it be the re-imposition of the Global Gag Rule, slashed funding for international family planning, Planned Parenthood, and Title X, or the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, we are ready to fight back.
We are marching to tell the new administration that we will not stand idly by as they degrade and threaten women, immigrants, people of color, and LGBTQIA people over the next four years. We are marching to stand up for our rights and make our collective voice heard. Will you join us?
When and where will the march begin?
The Women’s March on Washington will convene on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 10:00 am. The starting point will be at the intersection of Independence Ave and 3rd St, SW near the U.S. Capitol Building. For information on security, what to bring, and accessibility, please visit the Women’s March website.

Regardless of how you choose to get involved, it is crucial that we continue to demand reproductive rights for all women, despite those determined to roll back our hard-earned wins. We’re marching to show that we’re ready for the fight ahead. Are you ready to fight with us?
