There’s so much at stake in the upcoming election. The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress have repeatedly attacked and undermined reproductive rights, leaving millions of people around the world without access to comprehensive reproductive health care.
With less than two months to the election, we’re hard at work in battleground states getting out the vote for candidates who will stand up for reproductive health and rights—and we need your help. This election could come down to a few thousand votes in key states across the country. In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost the election by fewer than 80,000 votes across three states. That’s a margin of .06% of the votes that landed Trump in the White House.
In order to win big in November, we must focus our efforts where they count the most. That’s why we’re launching our adopt-a-state program, giving activists an easy way to channel their efforts in key races across the country. Sign up to adopt a #Fight4HER state and make a difference at the polls. You’ll get plugged into volunteer opportunities in key districts and get involved with critical races in your adopted state. Here’s what we’re working on in each of our #Fight4HER states:
In Arizona, we’re fighting to flip the Senate by voting out Martha McSally and electing astronaut Mark Kelly. We’re also supporting our champions in the House of Representatives, Reps. Ruben Gallego, Raúl Grijalva, Ann Kirkpatrick, and Greg Stanton.
In California, we’re working to turn the 8th congressional district blue by electing Chris Bubser and ensuring that our champion Rep. Ami Bera is reelected.
In Colorado, we’re working to get rid of Sen. Cory Gardner and replace him with John Hickenlooper. We’re also working to keep our champions Reps. Jason Crow, Dianna DeGette, and Joe Neguse in Congress.
In Nevada, we’re working to reelect our champions Reps. Steven Horsford, Susie Lee, and Dina Titus.
In addition to supporting our New Hampshire repro rights heroes Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Reps. Ann Kuster and Chris Pappas, we’re working in neighboring Maine to unseat Susan Collins and elect Sara Gideon.
In North Carolina, we’re fighting for Deborah Ross to flip North Carolina’s 2nd district, and we’re supporting Reps. Alma Adams and David Price, who have long supported reproductive health and rights around the world.
Over in Ohio, we’re getting out the vote for Kate Schroder, Desiree Tims, and Alaina Shearer, who are all challenging Republican incumbents in their respective districts. And of course, we’re also supporting Rep. Joyce Beatty in her race.
Finally, in Pennsylvania, we’re campaigning to turn the first congressional district blue by electing Christina Finello and working to send our champions Reps. Madeline Dean, Chrissy Houlahan, and Susan Wild back to Congress.
These #Fight4HER champions and candidates can win big in November, but only if we all do our part to get out the vote. Adopt a #Fight4HER state today!
