After winning a special election in 2020 to finish the term of retiring GOP senator Johnny Isakson, Sen. Warnock is now running for his first full term as Georgia’s first Black senator. A longtime Baptist pastor, Rev. Warnock rose to political prominence in Georgia as part of a campaign to expand Medicaid in the state under the Affordable Care Act.

A steadfast supporter of global human rights, Sen. Warnock is a co-sponsor of the Global HER Act, the Women’s Health Protection Act, and the Right to Contraception Act. He is pro-choice, saying that “a patient’s room is too small a place for a woman, her doctor, and the U.S. government.”
