For Immediate Release: April 18, 2017
Population Connection Action Fund is proud to sponsor the first ever March for Science on Earth Day 2017.
Science, evidence, and facts must be part of the policymaking process, particularly when it comes to international family planning and access to reproductive health care. In the first weeks and months of 2017 we have seen a nearly unprecedented rejection of science and facts by congress and the administration. From counterproductive restrictions on reproductive health and family planning care to a rollback of climate protections, ideology is overriding evidence. That spells disaster for vulnerable people around the world.
It is infuriating that we must march to demand that policymakers base decisions on science and evidence. But, march we must. And march we will.
