For Immediate Release: April 3, 2017
We’re happy to see Senate Democrats stand with the vulnerable people that Judge Gorsuch has ignored for so long.
Whether it be working women who need insurance coverage for birth control, or disabled children who need education, or working people who need shelter from freezing temperatures, the law exists to protect them, not those who would do them harm. Yet, somehow, Gorsuch has always chosen the side of the powerful.
The question now is this: will Republicans continue their assault on tradition, history and decency by changing the rules in the middle of the process? My 8 year old son has moved past the stage where he announces a new rule the second he starts to lose a game. It’s time for Mitch McConnell to achieve the same milestone.
